Preparing For The Transition To Adulthood

Moving From Entitlement To Eligibility And Self-Directed Care

When students face the prospect of aging out of their public school entitlements, the transition to adulthood and eligibility requires advance planning.  In this talk, attorney Mayerson will discuss the Medicaid Waiver process, New York State’s move towards self direction, employment training and support, and some of the steps that parents can take to pave the way for a smooth and supported transition.
