2017 Peace of Mind Lecture Series
Join us on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30PM for our next Peace of Mind Lecture
Epilepsy Medications and the Body
Sometimes seizure control is more about how and when you take a medication than which medication you use. This talk will address the fundamentals of medication doses and what it means for seizure control, answering questions like: why do you have to take seizure medication every day? What happens if you miss a dose? Why do some medications have to be taken more often than others? What is the relationship of side effects and timing of dosing? We will also discuss the importance of blood levels, and explain the meaning of a drug “half life."
